Solar Air Heating
As fuel costs continue to go up, the cost of heating homes and other buildings is increasing. Passive solar design is an extremely effective way to decrease the demand on your heating system by allowing natural solar heat into the building.
To improve on passive solar, Quantum installs solar air heating panels. These panels can be installed onto any exterior wall, and will provide free heating whenever the sun is shining.
How They Work…
- The sun's energy is collected on a black absorber plate behind the larger pane of glass, heating the air behind the absorber.
- A fan is powered by the solar panel behind the smaller (top) pane of glass. This fan draws air from inside the house, up behind the absorber for heating and then back into the house through a register.
The system is fully controllable from inside an requires no external power to operate, enjoy free solar heat that feels just like forced air.
